October 6, 2001: I was assaulted by Nittany Lion Bloody Mary after running my mouth all morning, but The Wolverines would back up my talk, blanking Penn State 20-0. November 14, 2009: Standing below the ceiling full of mugs at Essen House with Coach Jerry Hanlon the night before Michigan fell to Wisconsin in Madison 45-24. More pics, recaps and box scores from that game are right here on the Wisconsin 2009 game page.
September 22, 2001 - Red, white and blue pom moms and an American flag in the stands for the first game in Michigan Stadium after 9/11. Michigan would win 38 - 21 over Western Michigan behind 3 TDs (2 rushing, 1 receiving) from BJ Askew.
September 2, 2000: Hey, that’s me! Holding my niece (now a Junior at Purdue) at our tailgate on the golf course before Michigan dismantled Bowling Green 42-7 to open the season. Added about 20 fresh photos from the Godfather’s archives to the game page, which you can find here.
October 15, 1993: The group poses for a picture in the Clearfield Days Inn the night before Michigan’s first meeting and first victory over Penn State 21-13 in Happy Valley. This and the rest of the pictures from that trip (which predates my introduction to the tailgate) are part of a massive conversion of The Godfather’s photo albums to digital.
